Mission

Founded in 2017 in Montreal, Valise Théâtre, OBNL, has the mission to create, produce and broadcast theater and puppet theater performances for audiences of all ages.

Mandate

  • Creating a bridge between different cultures by Arts, and that by languages, the aesthetics and respective traditions.
  • Sensitizing people of all ages to different situations that other cultures live through active participation and cultural mediation.
  • Bringing puppet theater out of the conventional theater, giving everyone access to this artistic discipline.
  • Establishing an interactive and multidisciplinary status for puppeteers.

Goals

  • Valise Theater privileges the puppet theater as a main language that allows us to bring viewers into a metaphorical world full of imagination and fantasy.
  • Creation, production and dissemination of activities putting interculturalism and cultural mediation at the center of social approaches by using Arts as a medium of choice.
  • Art Workshops: Reach out to different audiences through schools, community centers, libraries and more to diversify and develop audiences for the organization.
  • The integration of various artistic disciplines such as drawing, music, photography, sculpture, film-video and others are essential in the creation of the shows.
